Biografi

I Fourth Moon forenes fire nationaliteter og fire musikalske udgangspunkter til én samlet kreativ kraft: Franske Jean Damei (guitar), østrigske Geza Frank (sækkepibe and fløjter), italienske David Lombardi (violin) and skotske Andrew Waite (harmonika). Til udvalgte koncerter på bandets Danmarksturné i februar 2023 medbringer de også det lejlighedsvise femte medlem, den anerkendte skotske sanger/danser Ainsley Hamill, der bringer yderligere et friskt og dynamiskt aspekt ind i bandets musik.

Fourth Moon har optrådt som hovednavn på adskillige internationale folkfestivaler som f.eks. Celtic Connections, Edinburgh Trad Fest, Le Son Continu Festival, Kilkenny Trad Fest, Celti'Cimes, the Vienna International Accordion Festival, Shepley Spring Festival og har turneret i Frankrig, Østrig, Schweiz, Italien, Tyskland, Spanien, Portugal og Storbritannien. De fik deres Danmarksdebut til Tønder Festival 2022, hvor de bl.a. spillede for et proppet Telt 2 lørdag eftermiddag.

Bandets musik er næsten udelukkende selvkomponeret og er beskrevet som opfindsom, innovativ og virtuos, og som noget, der bygger bro mellem et traditionelt folkband og en kammermusikkvartet.

Udgivelser

I 2018 udgav bandet deres første album, Ellipsis, og deres seneste album, Odyssey, fra november 2021 har fået overvældende positive anmeldelser.
